Sound Intensity Probe Applications

Using it with a loudness probe, sound power or noise mapping applications can be made. The most important advantage of this probe is that it is less susceptible to ambient noise because it is vectoral. Imaginary surfaces are determined to include the source and measurements are taken from certain points of these surfaces. Sound intensity spreads out from the surface. The sound intensity vector is calculated and multiplied by the surface area, the sound power is obtained.
